Orientation at The Ohio State University prepares all incoming students for a successful transition to campus.
Whether you are attending a two-day in-person session as a first-year student or a virtual session as an off-term or transfer student, Orientation helps you connect with academic advisors, complete class registration, and fulfill essential university requirements before classes begin.
During Orientation, you will:
Prepare for Academics
Meet with your academic advisor
Learn more about your major and degree requirements
Register for your first-semester classes
Complete Important University Requirements
Obtain your BuckID
Complete any required placement testing
