A world-class education. A lifetime connection.
Adjusting to a large university can feel exciting, challenging and sometimes overwhelming. You don't have to navigate the transition alone.
First Year Experience (FYE) supports first-year students at The Ohio State University as they transition to college life. Through Orientation, FYE Peer Leaders, campus resources and success programs, FYE helps students build community, navigate campus and thrive during their first year.
As a first-year student at Ohio State, you'll discover new opportunities, make meaningful connections and explore everything campus has to offer. From joining student organizations and attending events to finding academic support and building community, your first year is an important time of growth and discovery.
FYE helps first-year students find their place within the Ohio State community, learn about university resources and build the skills needed for success. Through Orientation and into your first semester, FYE Peer Leaders are available to answer questions, share their experiences and connect you with helpful resources and support services.
Plus, our First Year Success Series workshops offer the practical tools you need to grow both personally and academically.
