Programs for transfer and campus-change students

First Year Experience (FYE) is delighted to officially welcome you to The Ohio State University's Columbus campus! Whether you are transitioning from another Ohio State campus or becoming a Buckeye for the first time, FYE has designed programs and events with you specifically in mind.

We encourage you to learn about all the programs we have to offer and hope we can be a resource! If you have any questions about transitioning to our campus or the programs that our office has to offer, please contact us.

Buckeye Adventures Buckeye Adventures is an opportunity for transfer and campus-change students to make friends, have fun in an outdoor setting, and learn more about Ohio State before school begins. You will develop bonds with other new and seasoned Buckeyes and learn skills that will aid in your success at Ohio State.
Buckeye Contacts Before you arrive on campus you'll receive a postcard in the mail from a current Ohio State student. Your current student mentor can answer any questions that you may have about navigating student life at Ohio State.
Transfer Student Meet, Greet, (& Eat!) As part of your welcome to campus, First Year Experience coordinates a welcome event during the student involvement fair and lunches and dinners throughout the first semester for transfer and campus-change students. These events offer students who are new to Ohio State an opportunity to meet and mingle.
Transfer Student Activities Board The Transfer Student Activities Board (TSAB) are upperclass transfer students who help welcome new transfer and campus-change students. Board members plan, coordinate, and facilitate FYE programs and efforts that specifically serve transfer students including educational and social events.
Success Series The First Year Success Series presents information sessions about navigating student life at Ohio State. As a transfer or campus-change student, you are invited to attend any of these sessions. They are informative and relevant to your experience at Ohio State even if this isn't your first year on a college campus. You may be required to attend a few of these sessions if you are signed up for a survey course.
