What is the Success Series?

Successful first-year students at Ohio State are those who learn how to utilize resources, resolve problems, and prepare themselves to take full advantage of their time here on campus. The Success Series helps to promote this success by offering short courses on the common concerns and questions first-year students have during their transition to university life.

Students are often asked to attend events as a requirement for their survey classes during autumn quarter. However, students are highly encouraged to continue attending Success Series sessions that interest them throughout the year.

There are numerous events every quarter. In the autumn, there are more than 300 sessions! Each Success Series event falls under one of nine theme areas. Structuring the series around themes gives students (and survey course instructors) a greater sense of choice and flexibility in attending (or assigning) relevant or personally interesting topics.

Event registration opens at the beginning of each quarter.
