A+ Research: Where Do You Start?
The whole research process in a nutshell. Ohio State junior Bethany Chance teaches you a handy mnemonic (F-I-R-S-T) that you can use to guide yourself through the process the next time you’re working on a research project. It's a great way to learn the big steps without having to deal with all the detail. This presentation is from OSU Libraries’ Student-to-Student Program. (This event will NOT connect you with a faculty member who wants to hire student researchers. For that, contact the Undergraduate Research Office.)

A+ Research: Help for Your Writing Assignments

Her explanation is intended to take away the mystery from most academic writing. Learn how and when to quote, paraphrase, and summarize what others have written about your topic and research question. Bethany will also show you how to use a free ebook from Ohio State University Libraries called Choosing & Using Sources. This presentation is from OSU Libraries’ Student-to-Student Program. (This event will NOT connect you with a faculty member who wants to hire student researchers. For that, contact the Undergraduate Research Office.)
