Leadership Collaborative candidates will bring a variety of qualifications including, but not limited to, an interest in leadership, a desire for continued personal and community improvement, a diversity of life experiences, a willingness to build relationships with fellow first-year student Buckeyes, and an enthusiasm for making meaningful contributions to the Ohio State and Columbus communities. The selection committee is looking for 80 enthusiastic and capable students who are seeking to invest their time, energy and talents at Ohio State and beyond.
Apply for the Leadership Collaborative Conference
The conference will be held Tuesday through Friday, August 14-17, at Crown Plaza - Columbus North in Worthington, Ohio.
Applicants must be new Columbus campus freshmen and will be evaluated based on the following:
- Interest in leadership development
- Potential to contribute in meaningful ways to Ohio State’s first-year class
- Responses to essay questions
As part of the application process, students will be asked to submit essays on how leadership has impacted their values and passions and their experiences with others. Students will be notified of their application status by the end of May.
