First Year Experience (FYE) is delighted to officially welcome you to The Ohio State University's Columbus campus! Whether you are transitioning from another Ohio State campus or becoming a Buckeye for the first time, FYE has designed programs and events with you specifically in mind.
While you have experience with navigating college, we know that students who transfer institutions also experience transition during their first year in a new place, particularly as it relates to accessing resources distinct to Ohio State.

Peer Leaders
FYE Peer Leaders are upperclass students who understand and support your needs throughout your first year. Peer leaders plan, coordinate and facilitate engaging programs that specifically serve transfer students. For more information about programs and events throughout the year, contact your peer leader.

Buckeye Adventures
Buckeye Adventures is an opportunity for transfer and campus-change students to make friends, have fun in an outdoor setting and learn more about Ohio State before school begins. You will develop bonds with other new and seasoned Buckeyes and learn skills that will aid in your success at Ohio State. |

Transfer Connections
Transfer Connections is a pre-orientation program where you can build new friendships before your orientation session. You have the opportunity to stay in a residence hall, learn more about Ohio State , Columbus and the unique transition and first-year experience of transfer students—all while getting to know other new Buckeyes! |

Transfer Student Meet and Greet (and Eat!)
As part of your welcome to campus, First Year Experience coordinates a welcome event during the student involvement fair and lunches and dinners throughout the first semester for transfer and campus-change students. These events offer students who are new to Ohio State an opportunity to meet and mingle. |

Success Series
The First Year Success Series presents information sessions about navigating student life at Ohio State. As a transfer or campus-change student, you are invited to attend any of these sessions. They are informative and relevant to your experience at Ohio State even if this isn't your first year on a college campus. You may be required to attend a few of these sessions if you are signed up for a survey course. |
