Sunday, August, 13:
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early move-in to your residence hall.
Students should report to their assigned residence halls to receive room keys and relevant information from Residence Life. You have 8 hours to move in and settle into your rooms.
- 5 p.m.
Students and their families meet for Buckeyes First check-in (location TBD)
Students check-in for Buckeyes First and family members can mingle with other families and meet FYE staff.
Following check-in, students and families enjoy dinner and activities where they get to know fellow first-generation peers.
Monday, August 14: Participants spend the full day and night at Camp Kern. Transportation to the camp is provided.
Tuesday, August 15: Activities at Camp Kern in the morning. Transportation back to Ohio State campus. Group activities on campus for the rest of the day.
Wednesday, August 16: Participate in large and small group sessions facilitated by FYE staff and Peer Leaders. Get to know campus and Columbus.
Thursday through Saturday, August 17-19: OWL transition and participation. Each day requires a FULL day of participation.
- August 17: Assist with OWL move-in in the morning, participate in activities and team-building exercises in the evening.
- Aug 18: OWL training and overview.
- Aug 19: OWLS welcome new students and help them move in to residence halls.
