Buckeye Commuter Connection 
The Buckeye Commuter Connection provides an opportunity for first-year commuter students to connect with the Ohio State and Columbus communities. Participants will have an opportunity to develop a network with current student leaders and student organizations, and connect with campus and community resources for future leadership opportunities. Participants will build upon their familiarity with Columbus by participating in unique service opportunities as well as a behind-the-scenes look into some of Columbus’ most visited community spaces through informal excursions and on-campus activities. The cost of the program includes transportation and meals during program activities.

Residential Leadership (R-LEAD) Program  
Live, learn and lead right in your residential community! R-LEAD is a leadership-based early arrival program for incoming first-year students who will be living on the Columbus campus. Throughout the program, participants will explore their Values In Action character strengths and the ways in which they can use those strengths in everyday leadership. This early arrival program targets the personal growth and development of each participant through dialogue and structured activities. Students selected to participate in R-LEAD will be automatically be registered for the OWL program and participate in early move-in.

Ohio State Welcome Leader (OWL) Program
Are you interested in being a part of the excitement during Move In Day? If so, consider applying to be an OWL! The two day program is designed to help students discover opportunities on campus, meet new people, learn about leadership and make the move-in experience a great one for their fellow Buckeyes. Led by student OWL coordinators, participants will build community throughout the program in small groups. By fostering student connection, providing service to others and embodying tradition and school spirit, the OWL program provides a developmental and enriching early arrival experience.
