Sunday, August 12, 2018:

  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early move-in to your residence hall
    Students should report to their assigned residence halls to receive room keys and relevant information from Residence Life. You will have 8 hours to move in and settle into your rooms.
  • 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Students and their families meet for Buckeyes First check-in (location TBD)
    Students will check-in for Buckeyes First and mingle with other families and meet FYE staff. Following check-in, students and families will get to know their first-generation peers during dinner and activities.

Monday, August 13: Participants will enjoy camping and group activities at Camp Mary Orton. Sessions will cover university business, understanding the first-generation experience and more.

Tuesday, August 14: Sessions will cover budgeting for college, understanding campus resources and exploring Columbus.

Wednesday, August 15: Sessions will cover the campus community, Ohio State's resources, academics, the OWL program and goal setting. The day will end with the Buckeyes First closing ceremony.

Thursday, August 16: Students will transition to the OWL program for additional training before move-in day on August 18.
