First Year Experience

The Transfer Student Activities Board (TSAB) are upperclass transfer students who help welcome new transfer and campus-change students. Board members plan, coordinate and facilitate FYE programs and efforts including educational and social events that specifically serve transfer students.

Events for autumn semester 2014

Kings Island Trip
Saturday, October 11
Leave campus at 1:45 p.m. Return by midnight.
Cost: $20 (park ticket and transportation)
Kings Island Halloween Haunt features indoor and outdoor fright mazes, gruesome shows, and thrill rides for those who dare. Join First Year Experience, TSAB and other new transfer students for a night of fun and terror at King’s Island!

Apple Picking at Lynd's Fruit Farm
Saturday, November 8, 4 to 9 p.m.
Celebrate the wonderful fall weather and changing seasons with apple picking, a bonfire, and s’mores. Family and friends are welcome. Come and go as you please! Register at scarletandgray.osu.edu and enter the code TSAPPLE14.

Carve Your Future: Resume Workshop and Pumpkin Carving
Tuesday, October 28, 7 to 9 p.m.
University Hall Room 056
Join TSAB for a resume review and workshop followed by pumpkin carving. Pumpkins provided! This event is free to transfer students. Register at scarletandgray.osu.edu and enter the code CARVE14.

Ronald McDonald Volunteer Trip
Wednesday, November 5, 6 to 8 p.m.
The Ronald McDonald House of Central Ohio provides a home away from home for families with sick children in Columbus. Join us for an evening of giving back by baking and connecting with some of the families. Details coming soon.

Zoo Wild Lights Trip
Sunday, November 23, 5:30 p.m.
Catch the holiday spirit! Mingle with other transfer students at an evening of Wildlights at the Columbus Zoo. Details coming soon.
