Advice to first-year transfer students: Don’t be scared to talk to your neighbors or people in your class. Sign up for intramurals if you like sports and attend club meetings to meet people in your major.

Advice to first-year transfer students: Go to your professor’s office hours. It is always beneficial to sit and talk face to face with your professor to get to know them.  You’d be amazed at how much they can help with letters of recommendation, job opportunities, grading and so much more.

Something I wish I would have known my first year at Ohio State: Stay open to anything, take chances and look for opportunities. I have found that personal growth often comes from doing things outside of your comfort zone, so don’t be afraid to take chances.
