ALDPES
First-year students who earn a cumulative 3.5 GPA during their first year and are in the top 20% of the first-year class will be invited to join ALDPES (Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma) in the summer after their freshman year. Once invited to join, students are members for life, even if grade averages fall below a 3.5 GPA. ALDPES is a great way to get involved and make friends.

Opportunities for ALDPES members:

  • Be involved in community service, such as landscaping, fund raising, cleaning,
painting, and carpentry at the Unverferth House, a temporary residence for Ohio
State Medical Center patients and families.
  • Volunteer for events such as Relay for Life, a 24-hour walk for the American
    Cancer Society.
  • Have access to academic opportunities, including career planning, resume
    workshops, guest speakers, and scholarships.
  • Work with other members on committees for communication, fund raising,
    and social events.
